Striking Spaceship Squadron!

September 1st, 2008

People have always been trying to conquer the outer space, to discover its secrets and mysteries. For this purpose they have invented various spacecrafts, conducted both by humans and robots, to explore the universe. The infinite outer space have always generated a great amount of creative ideas among artists. Do you remember such movies as “Star Wars”, “Armageddon”, “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”, “Alien”, “Independence Day”, “The Last Starfighter”, “Explorers”, “2001: A Space Odyssey”… The list seems to go on forever. But the computer graphics artists don’t remain aside either. The only thing that unites them all is the unlimited imagination due to which the brilliant and ingenious works have appeared.

We would like to bring to your notice the most impressive 3D spacecrafts and starships created by talented and resourceful computer graphics artists from all over the world. So, enjoy your space trip!

No Journey’s End

On this 3D composition the author Kerem Gogus depicted the solar system. But not sparing himself, he has drawn several suns there :) Maybe he was just carried away with the creation process. Anyway, the image looks very impressive! Design of this ship based on the BattleStar but it’s not its exact copy.

The Phoenix

The author of this extraordinary spaceship - Chris Matz - has a luxuriant imagination, I want to admit. By the way, the artist came up with an interesting story for this 3D image: “In the year 2837, the people of Earth are faced with a dire problem. Their planet, the ground upon which thousands of generations had walked on before, was quickly dying beneath their very feet… With their combined efforts and technology, the people of Earth were able to fabricate a ship, it’s construction lasting more than a century. When it was finished, the ship was christened “The Phoenix”, a fitting name for its purpose; to keep Earth alive, even if just a small portion of it.”

Errrmmmm, to the poster: The star fighter you call ship of the future of Nicholas Blazick, is nothing more than a Star wars jedi starfighter, as its written on the image, it was not created by him, altough it was modelled and rendered by Nic.
